American Legion Hosting Fundraising Picnic

In an effort to secure a new roof for the lodge the local chapter of the American Legion will be hosting a fundraiser on Sunday and is inviting all local residents to take part in what should be a fun day.

For $50 people who come to the picnic will receive admission for two people to the event and a ticket that can win prizes ranging from $5000 for the winner to $200 for the fifth place ticket.  

A press release from The American Legion said the event is a worthy one for people to take part in on what looks to be a beautiful October day. “You get to make a donation with tax benefits to the American Legion, the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.”
