Freehold Township, Freehold Borough and Upper Freehold Township are all apart of the Freehold Area Notification System.

Freehold residents are now able to be alerted with what is going on in their side of town, by signing up for the new Freehold Area Notification System.

The Freehold Area Notification System is an emergency alert program. The free service, allows customers to receive alerts on their cell phone, work phone, home phone, as an email and even as a text message. When signing up for the service, residents can choose which locations they would like to be alerted about as long as the areas are in Freehold Township, Freehold Borough or Upper Freehold Township.

According to the alert’s website, alerts will only be sent out to notify residents about imminent threats to health and safety. Public safety officials will send alerts about emergencies such as severe weather, floods, gas leaks, or critical police activity.
