Author David M. Salkin to Speak at Village Inn Friday

Come hear Freehold Township Deputy Mayor and published novelist speak at the Battleground Historical Society meeting Friday night.

resident and author David M. Salkin will be guest speaking at the Battleground Historical Society meeting at in Englishtown Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Salkin, the Deputy Mayor of Freehold Township, has four novels published, all of which are thrillers.

His latest novel, Forever Hunger, is a crime story with a twist - the killer has been dead for a few hundred years. Salkin’s other published novels include Crescent Fire, Necessary Extremes, and The MOP.

The Deputy Mayor has served as Freehold Township Mayor in 2011, 2005, and 1999; he has been a member of the Township Committee since 1994.

The meeting is free, open to all, and refreshments will be served. The Village Inn is located at the corner of Main St. and Water St. in downtown Englishtown. Tours of the historic and restored inn will also be available.
