Best Bets for Valentine’s Day in Freehold

1. The Center Playhouse begins a four-week run of Neil Simon’s on Friday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. The play centers on newlyweds Paul and Corie Bratter. On Valentine’s Day weekend, the romantic comedy will also run on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $24 for adults and $22 for students and seniors.

2. The American Hotel is offering a special Sweetheart Package promotion. When you make a dinner reservation at the Market Yard Grill on Sunday, Feb. 13 or Monday, Feb. 14 you can get a deluxe sleeping room in the hotel for $99. The dinner comes with your choice of one appetizer of Southwestern chicken eggroll, half a rack of baby back ribs, or fried calamari; two entrees of pomodoro red snapper, Montreal cowboy steak, or chicken Francaise; and any two desserts off the dessert menu.

4. If you’re heading to the Freehold Raceway Mall for a last minute gift, stop by the Hadassah Gift Wrapping Station on the upper level bridge across from Express during mall hours from Thursday, Feb. 10 to Monday, Feb. 14. Hadassah will accept any donation. Free gift wrap is limited to three packages per customer.
