Cold and Rain Ahead of Sunny Turkey Day

A look at the forecast for the week ahead.

If the National Weather Service is right this week will not be the time to enjoy much warm or dry weather right through the Thanksgiving holiday.

The high for today is expected to be near 39 degrees on one of the few sunny days of the week. When the sun sets the low will dip below the freezing mark near 29 degrees before a chance of rain arrives Tuesday morning. Highs for the day figure to be near 47 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain. The chance of rain increases to 90 percent on Tuesday night with a low around 40 expected.

For people travelling on Wednesday it looks to be a rainy day with a high near 47 before a low of 27 on Wednesday night. Whether you are heading to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in the city or to your local turkey day football battle you better dress warm with a high of just 38 degrees expected for the day.
