Earle Family Donates $750,000 to K. Hov Children's Hospital

Donation will create 14 more rooms at Jersey Shore University Medical Center's children's hospital

Members of the Earle family, Freehold residents and owners of Wall-based Earle Asphalt Company, have donated $750,000 to support the children’s hospital of Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

The donation to the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, in honor of Walter and Marianne Earle, supports “The Next Step,” a hospital campaign focused on expanding services and space for “Kids, Cardiac and Cancer,” according to a hospital release.

The Earle family’s contribution supports an enhanced acute care pediatric unit in the hospital’s Ackerman Pavilion. The redesigned space includes 14 private rooms, a playroom, a spacious family area and an additional procedure room, the release says.

“This new space is sophisticated, gives families more privacy, and enables our physicians and nurses to care for children in a modern, healing environment as we continue to grow for the future,” said Steven Kairys, co-medical director of the children’s hospital, in the release.

“When we discussed what we wanted to support in our community, we couldn’t think of a better place to invest in than K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital,” Walter (Rob) Earle II, president, Earle Asphalt Company, in the release. “We have a large family with many children, and having the best care close to home is important to us.”
