This event is a fundraiser benefiting the historic and educational programs presented at the Historic Village at Allaire by the non-profit organization, Allaire Village Incorporated.  Patrons of the Flea Market will wish to visit
the restored 1830’s iron-manufacturing community known as the Howell Iron Works. There will be no admission charge to the Village for Flea Market attendees.  A perfect day of fun for the yard sale, history, and nature enthusiast in the family! Authentically-clad museum interpreters, artisans, and craft demonstrators, such as blacksmiths and
carpenters, present the story of the historic buildings and the people who lived and worked there over 175 years ago.

Allaire Village Incorporated is licensed by the State of NJ to operate the 40-acre, state-owned Historic Village at Allaire, site of James P. Allaire’s Howell Iron Works Company in the 1830’s.  Allaire Village, Inc. is able to present, throughout the year, many fine quality
educational and interpretive programs.  Allaire Village, Inc. receives no state funding towards the educational programming presented throughout the year, but is strongly supported through private donations, membership fees, fund-raising events and patronage of our retail
stores. Allaire Village, Inc. received an operating support grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State. In addition, funding for our historical events is made possible in part to a
generous grant from the Ocean First Foundation.
