While the cookies are delicious, sales of Girl Scout cookies gives girls multiple opportunities to raise funds that help them achieve the goals they’ve set for themselves. The press release further explains that the Girl Scout cookie sale also supports other community organizations and the military. The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore are continuing its “Gift of Caring” program in partnership with the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean County developed as a service project where each troop/group can donate cookies to worthwhile causes.

If you don’t see a Girl Scout selling cookies, you can still purchase your favorite cookies online at www.girlscoutsjs.org/cookies.
