Going Once: Wedding Auction at the Crystal Ballroom
The Crystal Ballroom is offering brides and grooms a chance to have the wedding of their dreams at great rates.
Because of a weakened economy, many catering venues are not filling up the dates they have available. Practical minded brides and grooms hesitate planning expensive weddings knowing the money might serve them better in other ways. The management of the Crystal Ballroom at the Radisson Hotel of Freehold has come up with an innovative idea that can benefit engaged couples planning to be wed this year or into March 2012.
Signs advertising this event can be seen all over Route 537. On Sunday, April 3 from noon to 4 p.m., the facility will hold a wedding auction. A professional auctioneer will be selling available dates that venue has not booked from July 2011 to March 2012. The bidding will start at $49 to $59 per person, and the dates will be auctioned one at a time and sold to the highest bidder. The Crystal Ballroom will be auctioning weddings in . If you were not aware, the venue has a sophisticated and elegant new face. Huge renovations took place in 2008, however the management is continually improving the venue as of this date. Recently, the lobby and entranceway were remodeled.
Auction participants will be required to pay a $500 refundable deposit. If the couple does not get their preferred date, the money will be refunded. However, if you do book a date, you can receive 25 percent off wedding enhancers such as a chocolate fountain, sushi display, create your own sundae bar, Hollywood lighting, or outdoor or indoor ceremony.
