Mayor to Mayor Ride Set For Wednesday

Activity is part of Mayor's Health Initiative.

With towns as closely connected as Freehold Township and Freehold Borough there is a lot that can bring residents together.

On Wednesday night there is an activity planned to not only give people a chance to get together but also get in shape at the same time. As part of Mayor’s Health Initiative, Borough Mayor Nolan Higgins will be leading a bike ride from from Borough Hall to the home of Township Mayor Barbara McMorrow.

Estimated to be about four miles each way the trip will depart borough hall at 7 p.m. before arriving at McMorrow’s house for a water break and then pedaling back to the borough.

The event is open to all bike riders including members of the Community Health and Active Movement Participants (CHAMPS). A similar ride was held in May and there were 25 participants with the goal being to increase that number this time around.
