Monmouth County SPCA Teaches it's 'Cool to be Kind'

Volunteers and animals came to the Park Avenue Elementary School to learn about animal cruelty and bullying.

Freehold Borough students in the after school 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) started off their spring vacation with a special presentation from the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MCSPCA).

On Friday, March 22 Ro Smith of the MCSPCA talked to kids in the after school program at the Park Avenue Complex, about the importance of being nice to animals and caring for them properly. 

Smith brought three different dogs from the MCSPCA to the Park Avenue Complex and allowed students to meet the dogs and learn about they communicate through their expressions.

Smith additionally educated children on the many dogs in shelters that need homes and explained the dangers of puppy mills.
