No White Christmas in Weekly Forecast

A look at the weather for Freehold for the next few days.

The late great Bing Crosby would be disappointed by the National Weather Service this week as the forecast does not call for even a single flake of snow to fall on Christmas.

There may not be snow but the end of the warm weather should bring plenty of rain to our area. The rain, which started last night will run well through today and into tonight before tapering off just in time for the holiday.

Today’s forecast calls for a high near 52 degrees before starting a rapid descent around 4 p.m. Between half an inch and three quarters of an inch is expected to fall today alone before tonight’s low temperature of just 35 degrees. There is a 60 percent chance of showers tonight but less than one tenth of an inch is expected to fall before the storm passes.
