Preparations for Holiday House Tour Beginning Now

The Freehold Borough Historic Preservation Committee is looking for neighborhood homes that would be interested in participating in the 2012 Holiday House Tour.

A Freehold Borough commission is starting to prepare for another upcoming holiday season with a follow-up Holiday House tour.

Due to the enthusiasm of the participants, The Freehold Borough Historic Preservation Committee will be hosting another Holiday House Tour this year on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 5 until 9 p.m. Tickets will be $15 for adults, $5 for children.

The tour will start at the American Hotel where ticket holders will receive their booklets, have the opportunity to get their picture with Santa and enjoy some holiday cheer, hospitality and caroling. The stops will consist of festively trimmed Borough homes that make the town unique.

Each home will be viewed for 10 to 15 minutes in order to allow tour-goers to view the interior of the home, hear a little about the home’s history and then return to the bus. Only rooms that are decorated will be shown on the tour. Information regarding the homes history will be given by either the homeowner or a member of the commission. Once completed, the tour will return to the American Hotel to continue enjoying this holiday spirited event.

If you would like your house to be considered for the Holiday House Tour 2012 please contact Lynda Keller at 732-421-3750 or at bluefairy614@gmail.com. The number of houses will be limited. The deadline is Nov. 16.
