Last Chance: Gather Important Papers for Free Shredding

One of the five 2012 Monmouth County Paper Shredding events will take place at the Freehold Township Municipal Building Parking lot.

Looking for a save place to get rid of your old confidential documents? Well look no further than the Freehold Township Municipal Building.

On Saturday, April 28 the Parking lot will host one of the five Monmouth County paper shredding events.

“We are happy to provide these events for responsible paper disposal and to help residents reduce the potential for identity theft,” said Freeholder Lillian G. Burry in the event’s press release. “The county continues to be proactive in removing recyclables from our waste stream and we encourage residents to do their part to help by making use of other county services for proper waste disposal as well.”

Residents are able to bring up to 100 lbs of paper to be shredded; the event will only stop once the shredding truck is full. Documents with staples or paper clips can be shredded but make sure that all documents are free of large binder clips.

This is a project of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders and partner municipalities.
