Santa Teams Up with Township Independent Fire District 1

Freehold Township Independent Fire District 1 will be giving Santa a lift two times this holiday season as he delivers gifts and treats to residents.

Santa and Freehold Township Independent Fire District 1 have teamed up for the third year in a row to give Freehold residents west of Route 9 an early Christmas surprise.

“It is a way for us to give back to the community.” said Firefighter Jensen Chundamala. “The kids really seem to enjoy it.”

Santa will be handing out gifts to registered houses on Dec. 11, and will be handing out candy canes on Dec. 17.

To have Santa deliver a gift to your house on a fire truck you need to drop off all presents to the Freehold Fire House on Stillwells Corner Road. The gift must be wrapped and with an index card that has your child’s name, age and address written on it. A minimum donation of $25 for the first child and $10 for each additional child is asked.

Once all registered, the Fire Company will give you an approximate time for Santa’s arrival on Dec. 11.

If you are unable to participate in this year’s Santa gift drop off, don’t worry. Santa will be making another appearance to Freehold residents on Dec. 17, and will be giving away candy canes to all the good boys and girls that live west of Route 9.
