Sen. Bob Menendez to Speak at FJC Gala

The Freehold Jewish Center is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

Sen. Bob Menendez, D-NJ, will be the featured guest speaker at the 100th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, Oct. 29.

“This has been a very dynamic year for us. The centennial outreach events we’ve held have opened the doors to our local community and we’ve had many new families added to our membership,” said Barry Hochberg, president of Congregation Agudath Achim at the Freehold Jewish Center (FJC).

In the midst of celebrating its 100th year, the center welcomed Rabbi Tal Sessler to lead the congregation in July 2011.

“This is an exciting time to have joined this warm and diverse family of congregants. There are great times ahead for us here at FJC, and the upcoming gala celebration will be a great kick-off for our next 100 years,” Sessler said.

The congregation’s 100th Anniversary Gala Celebration will be held at the center on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The event will include a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. Tickets cost $110.
