Shop for a Cause

The Freehold First Aid Squad Boutique and Auction will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Park Ave Elementary School.

Local community members are invited to put themselves in a win-win scenario this weekend by supporting the Freehold First Aid Squad and shopping multiple vendors under one roof.

From 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. this Saturday, March 24, the will host the "Life Support Boutique and Gift Auction". Attendees can shop over 40 vendors ranging from crafters, to gold/silver buyers, and even bid on gift auction items like Coach Sunglasses, gift cards, sport memorabilia and more.  Shoppers can also enjoy mini massages, jewelry cleaning, airbrush tattoos and bake sale refreshments.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad. In a Township TV Channel interivew, Bill Madden, from the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad, and Judi Guy, an employee of CentraState Healthcare, mentioned that they would like to raise $5,000 at Saturday's event.

"Without funding, we can’t function," explained Madden in the interview. "We’re an all-volunteer squad, but need donations to maintain our rigs, update equipment, replenish medical supplies, and it also pays for EMT training for new volunteers and refresher courses."
