Does anyone know about the adult community Renaissance west of Rt. 9? We have parents living there with an 93 year old grandmother. We have not heard from them since before the storm. We live in GA and are worried.

I've heard many people's heat is out on Stockton Street. Does anyone know if there's any support in town for them?
Christine October 31, 2012 at 06:56 PM
Got news about Brick around Barber Ave. and Mantoloking Rd. Heat is back on and did not have flooding. Phones are working there as well. However electricity is still off.

Those with Verizon Fios that have lost power but have a generator, can restore access to the internet by providing power to both the router and the coax interface device that connects to the outside Verizon box and to the backup battery. Verizon installers typically installed the coax interface device, and the backup battery, on the joists inside the house closest to the Verizon box. Both of these devices draw very little power, but are necessary if you want to restore access to the outside world and obtain updated information on the progress of the effort to restore electricity to our area. Use the usual precaution when connecting these devices- adequate working light - and be sure to make the final connection in a dry locatoin.

Looking for information regarding a friend who I cannot contact, want to know if he is ok. His name is Rich Crocker and I believe he is from either Tom's River or Neptune. If you know him tell him to let Rob know he is ok.
Suzanne - Middletown October 31, 2012 at 11:46 PM
Kings Landing should be fine. They are higher elevated as we are and should only be suffering from power loss.

Thank you, Suzanne. Very much appreciated. Incidentally, have you been given any indication of how long you could be without power / phone land lines? And do you know if the postal service is still able to deliver?
