This Weekend: Close to Home Fundraising Events

Snow maybe threatening to come Friday night, but that doesn’t mean you need to stay cooped up all weekend. Here is a list of events going on in Freehold this weekend.

Saturday

The Batman Experience: Batman and villains will be at iPlay America. Tickets for this experience cost $39 and include a buffet, photo, event lanyard and a $10 iPlay America game card. For more information about this event, visit it's event listing here. 

Relief for Ralph: Freehold Township Independent Fire Co. #1 is asking for help for one of their own. Please join them at 5 pm for a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Captain and Ex-Chief Ralph Reifer. The dinner will take place at the Smithburg Fire Station located at 30 Siloam Rd, Freehold. Dinner costs $10, for more information visit the event’s listing.

Free Throw Championships: All Freehold boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14 are asked to show off their basketball free throwing skills in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The contest will run from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and will be held in the St. Rose of Lima gym. All contestants will be recognized for their participation; however, the winners in each age group will advance to Knights of Columbus District Contest that involves several councils from surrounding towns. Sunday

Union Beach Fundraiser at The Cabin: From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Cabin will be donating a portion of its proceeds to local families in need. The event will include a "Shop till you Drop," opportunity as well as 20 percent of purchases in the dining room benefiting the families. Items that can be bought include bags, jewelry, sunglasses, wallets, accessories and more. There will also be chair massages for just $1 a minute and more.
