The National Weather Service is predicting a storm that will make for a messy drive home on Tuesday night but could leave things clear for much of the morning.
A Winter Storm Warning has been issued from 10 a.m. on Tuesday until 6 a.m. on Wednesday. The latest estimates call for between five and nine inches of snow though some forecasts have called for close to one foot of snow before the storm has passed.
Show could accumulate as much as an inch per hour according to the weather service. That could make for hazardous snow covered roads and low visibility. With strong winds approaching 25 MPH and gusts as high as 35 MPH also expected there could be an issue with snow drifts and blowing snow making for dangerous conditions as well.
The latest projections also call for freezing cold temperatures throughout Tuesday. During the day the temperature will likely be in the 20’s before dropping into single digits at night. With the wind chill the temperatures could feel as cold as 10 below.
