Get Out: Civil War Christmas, Concerts, Holiday House Tour

When and where: Saturday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oakley Farm, 189 Wemrock Road

Why you should go: An encampment of Civil War re-enactors will set up camp at Oakley Farm. The re-enactors will decorate their tents for Christmas. The farmhouse will be open to the public and decked out for the holidays, as well. The event is sponsored by the Freehold Township Heritage Society.

Why you should go: Enjoy an evening of Christmas carols performed by VoiceWorks vocal ensemble Pitch Black and Impulse Handbell Ensemble and readings of Christmas scriptures. The event will benefit the Freehold Area Open Door food pantry.

Why you should go: The Freehold Borough Historic Preservation Commission and the Freehold Borough Arts Council is sponsoring a tour of decorated homes, churches and the Freehold Borough firehouse. Refreshments will be provided and pictures with Santa will be available. The tour will begin and end at the American Hotel and shuttle transportation will be provided to all the stops.
