Why you should go: The Downtown Concert Series continues its second season of bringing renowned classical musicians to Downtown Freehold. Pianist Juan Pablo Horcasitas will bring his unique Latin flair in a performance showcasing St. Peter’s  concert grand piano.

Why you should go: Sarah Partridge has performed at New York’s Firebird Café, The Jazz Standard, the Cinegrill, and Catalina’s Bar & Grill, among other jazz spots. She brings her talents to Monmouth County as part of the library’s monthly jazz series.

Why you should go: Dr. Robert Fierstien, an adjunct professor of Jewish Studies at Pomona, will speak on the topic “Jews of the Civil War.” At 2:30 p.m., David Brahinsky and his string band will perform Civil War songs and contemporary and traditional folk pieces.

What does it cost: $15 for museum members, $18 for general admission

When and where: Sunday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. at Temple Rodeph Torah, 15 Mohawk Drive in Marlboro

Why you should go: The Temple Rodeph Torah Annual Hannukah Fair will feature a large variety of gifts for sale, including jewelry, handbags, ceramics, chocolate, and more. The event will also have free arts and crafts for children.
