Get Out: Taste of Sea Bright, Concerts, Civil War Dance Class
Find out where the fun is at in Monmouth County this weekend.
When & where: Saturday, May 7 from noon to 5:30 p.m. in Sea Bright
Why you should go: Spend the day in Sea Bright visiting 17 stops including Angelica’s Restaurant, The Dockside, Mad Hatter, Sea Bright Pizza, Yumi and more. You’ll get complimentary food and drink samples as well as get a chance for door prize drawings and giveaways.
You can visit the locations in any order you like. The locations are in Sea Bright’s downtown, so you can walk from stop to stop or take the trolley or three buses that will drive continuously through town.

What does it cost: Tickets are $40 and include admission bracelet; map/passport; all food, drinks and cocktails; unlimited trolley/bus rides throughout the event; and a complimentary Sea Bright Business Alliance backpack.
Downtown Concert SeriesWhen & where: Saturday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Freehold

Why you should go: Tenor Eduardo Villa, a veteran of The Metropolitan Opera, will give the last performance of Freehold’s popular Downtown Concert Series.

When & where: Saturday, May 7 at 8 p.m. at the Middletown Arts Center
Why you should go: The concert will feature Deanna Bogart, Gina Fox, Jennifer Jordan, and Alexis P. Suter in a musical extravaganza..

The Blend of Art ShowWhen & where: Saturday, May 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eastern Branch Library in Shrewsbury
Why you should go: This exhibit showcases artwork in pastel, watercolors and photography by seven local artists. If you miss the opening on Saturday, you can still view the art at the Eastern Branch Library throughout May.

Civil War Dance ClassesWhen & where: Saturday, May 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Monmouth County Library Headquarters
Why you should go: The Monmouth County Library continues its commemoration of the Civil War sesquicentennial at library headquarters on Saturday. Dressed in period clothing, the members of the Civil War Dance Foundation will conduct a dance demonstration of basic reel and quadrille movements at noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Audience members will be encouraged to participate.
The library will also have reproductions of period clothing available for visitors to try on. Sessions will be held at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Holmdel Jazz FestivalWhen & Where: Friday, May 6 at Holmdel High School, 36 Crawfords Corner Rd, Holmdel, NJ. Hours: 5:30 pm–10:00pm
Why you should go: Lots of great music from up-and-coming artists. Groups appearing will be: East Brunswick Jazz Band, Matawan Jazz Band, Rumson Fair Haven Jazz Band, Shore Regional Jazz Band, Pennsbury Lab Band Pennsbury Jazz Band, Montgomery Stage Band, Montgomery Jazz Band, William R. Satz Middle School Jazz Band and the Holmdel High School Jazz Band
What does it cost? $3.00 students/seniors: $5.00 adults. Hands will be stamped so people can come and return throughout the night.
