At just 16-years-old, Colts Neck's Jacquie Lee is sailing smoothly through NBC's singing competition, The Voice.
Lee, a member of pop singer Christina Aguilera's team, won the knockout rounds last night with her rendition of "Stompa" by Serena Ryder. Lee beat out fellow young vocalist Anthony Paul. In the critiques, Aguilera said she sees a bit of herself in Lee, and Adam Levine called her "the cutest thing he's ever seen." The young high school student described herself as an athlete on the show, with a passion for music in the second episode of the talent show's season.
During the knockout round, Lee was won against Briana Cuoco, sister of Big Bang Theorystar Kaley Cuoco with a duet rendition of "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals.
During the blind auditions, both Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton turned their chairs to find a young vocalist in front of them. Lee chose to become a part of Aguilera's team.
