Construction Continues as Freehold Schools Near Opening

Schools open on Monday, Sept. 9.

The parking lots at the Barkalow Middle School, Early Childhood Learning Center and the Freehold Township schools central offices are just smooth dirt surfaces now but in one month’s time students, teachers and administrators will be back to start the 2013-2014 school year and the dirt patches should be freshly paved parking lots.

Students are scheduled to report for their first day on Sept. 9 and, according to the district website, teacher assignments will be available for the elementary school students on Aug. 26 and Aug. 30 for the middle schools.

Schools will be open every day after that for the month of September and straight through to a professional development day on Oct. 14.
