Cancer Survivors Day
CentraState Healthcare System is hosting its fifth annual Cancer Survivors Day event on June 10, 12:30-3 p.m. featuring guest speaker Aubrey Barr—a childhood cancer survivor who has dedicated herself to making a difference in the lives of countless children and adults.
The free event is open to anyone who has been touched by cancer and will be held at CentraState’s Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main St.
The event will also include music, a luncheon, mini-health fair, cooking demonstration, sharing of survivor stories, and other activities.
National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual worldwide event celebrating life after a cancer diagnosis. The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation defines a “survivor” as anyone living with a history of cancer — from the moment of diagnosis onward.
