Walk MS to get Fundraising Boost

A local team participating in the Walk MS is holding a benefit this Friday to increase their fundraising.

If you are looking to help out a good cause and have fun this Friday night, then look no further than East Main Street.

Ray's Raiders, a Multiple Sclerosis team participating in the April 15 Walk MS, is making fundraising fun by holding a benefit on Friday, March 30 from 8:45 p.m. until midnight. The benefit will be held at the , and will feature music performed by the Space Krickets.

Ray’s Raiders is made up of a 90 person team led under Team Captains Susan Kershaw and Arlene Amtzis. The team is made up of residents and family members from , a luxury-style accessible apartment complex for people with Multiple Sclerosis in Freehold.

Nancy Caiazzo-Loprete, a Ray’s Raiders participant whose mother lives in Kershaw Commons, is the organizer of the event and welcomes everyone to come out and enjoy the night.

“There is no cover charge for the event, but we are asking people to make a donation to our team,” explained Loprete. “All donations will go towards our team’s fundraising efforts for the April Walk which go to the National MS Society.”

Attendees can enjoy cake, a 50/50 drawing and band give-aways.
