BBP Grand Opening Week Brings in over 5k for FoodBank

A dollar was donated to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties for every burger that was sold during opening week of Freehold's location of Bobby Burger Palace (BBP).

Two weeks since the grand opening of Bobby Flay’s Freehold location of Bobby’s Burger Palace (BBP), a large donation has been made in the restaurant’s name.

During the first week of opening, Flay explained that he wanted to help out those affected by Hurricane Sandy and decided the best way to help would be by donating to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

“I said to my team, we can’t celebrate a restaurant opening without thinking about people who were displaced or had other things happen to them after Hurricane Sandy,” said Flay in his interview with Patch. “Because this particular area has been so supportive of us [BBP] we thought ‘how can we celebrate the opening of the restaurant in Freehold and at the same time give back to the community’.”
