On Monday and Tuesday nights Downtown Freehold hosted a Flavor of Freehold event and while many people showed up hungry it is likely most if not all left completely full.
As part of the event eight local restaurants opened their doors to provide at least a taste of what makes their food special. Whether it was stuffed rigatoni at the San Marzano Trattoria, the fried clam po' boys at the American Hotel or the arroz con pollo at A Little Bit of Cuba Dos there was something to suit every palette on the tour and gelato at Cafe 360 to cleanse it at the end.
Not only did participants get to enjoy some of the best food in town they also were eligible to enter a raffle for a $100 Downtown Freehold gift certificate just for making all eight stops on the tour.
