CentraState Wine Tasting Benefit for MS Center

CentraState Healthcare Foundation will present its 11th annual multiple sclerosis fundraiser “An Evening in the Vineyards” on Friday, Sept. 7, 6-9 p.m. at CentraState’s Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 West Main Street.

Proceeds will support the Linda E. Cardinale Multiple Sclerosis Center, now the largest and most comprehensive such center in New Jersey, which includes clinical and rehabilitation areas, a dedicated infusion center, a balance testing and audiology center, space for a cognitive training program, and space for clinical research.

The Linda E. Cardinale MS Center was developed jointly with CentraState Medical Center and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New Jersey Metro Chapter with the support of Vito Cardinale of Cardinale Enterprises in honor of his wife, Linda. The comprehensive regional center provides diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and support for patients with MS and their families and also offers a MS Wellness Program, which was modeled after the highly regarded programs of USC and UCLA. The Center treats more than 700 patients per year.

At the event, CentraState will honor Gerry Norkus, president of Norkus Enterprises; and Chris Wragge, anchor with CBS News; and give special recognition to Biaggio Septepani, owner of Pasticceria Bruno. The chair of the benefit is the Cardinale family, Vito of Jackson and daughters Amanda of New York City and Crystal of Marlboro.
