Monmouth County Historical Association will host its annual Tea with Me event on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Navesink Country Club in Middletown, New Jersey.  The event is a special opportunity for little girls and their mothers, grandmothers or aunts to share in the fun of an event planned just for them.  Proceeds will support the Historical Association’s mission of education and preservation.

Girls will try their luck to win chance auction prizes like a doll house, huge stuffed animals, and American Girl Doll, be able to work on a craft project, learn about “school days’ as they were in the 18th century from MCHA education staff, and have the opportunity to have their portraits taken.

“The Tea Committee has been excitedly planning for a wonderful afternoon,” stated Jennifer Mullins, Chair of this year’s Tea, “we have arranged for craft projects, historical entertainment, light refreshments, music and some wonderful auction items geared to our youngest guests and their moms and grandmothers.  We think everyone will have a very special afternoon.”
