In a long list of infrastructure upgrades being completed by Jersey Central Power and Light, circuit upgrades can be checked off in Freehold Borough and Freehold Township.
In a news released, JCP&L announced that circuit upgrades in towns around Monmouth County included replacing wire, installing additional lightning arrestors, fuses and devices and protecting lines from overloading.
“Circuit upgrades are a result of the planning and analysis we do each year,” said JCP&L President Don Lynch in a news release. “The planned projects serve to reinforce the distribution network serving our customers.”
Circuit upgrades were also completed in Atlantic Highlands, Colts Neck, Marlboro, Highlands and Middletown Township.
The upgrades are a part of JCP&L’s $200 million capital improvements investment.
