Center Players Is On the Nice List Cause Santa Claus is Coming to Freehold in Miracle On 34th Street!

Center Players stages live 1940's radio show, "Miracle on 34th Street", opening this Friday Dec 7th. It will deliver entertainment, education, and nostalgic holiday spirit for the whole family!

Freehold’s award-winning resident dessert theater company will definitely be on everyone’s “Nice List” this year as Center Players welcomes back the radio talents of last years It’s A Wonderful Life to present this year’s holiday production of Miracle On 34th Street: A Live Radio Play this December.

The WBFR “Playhouse of the Air” takes the stage again this holiday season with the heart-warming tale Miracle on 34th Street. A little girl discovers dreams do come true if you really believe. Six-year-old Susan has doubts about childhood's most enduring miracle - Santa Claus. Her mother told her the "secret" about Santa a long time ago, so Susan doesn't expect to receive the most important gifts on her Christmas list. But after meeting a special department store Santa who's convinced he's the real thing, Susan is given the most precious gift of all - something to believe in.

Miracle On 34th Street: A Live Radio Play, inspired by the classic holiday film, is directed by Colleen DeFelice of Colts Neck and is performed as a 1940s radio broadcast in front of a live studio audience featuring your favorite local actors from last season with vintage radio equipment, period costuming & radio commercials all set to the soothing sounds of your favorite holiday standards. A handful of actors gather on Christmas Eve, 1947, to perform the dozens of characters to bring this heart-warming tale to life. The production features Jeff Caplan (Manchester) as Fred Gailey, Yvette Cataneo (Freehold) as Doris Walker, Payton Lamp (Tinton Falls) as Susan Walker, and Bill Lee (Bedford) as Kris Kringle, and features the talents of Zach Berman (Eatontown), Leslie Hochman (Matawan), Jake Hollander (Eatontown), Jack Marin (Jackson), Brooke Salamone (Freehold), Hannah Sultana (Ocean Township), Jack Welsh (Freehold), and Grant Zaitchick (Colts Neck).
