Don't Drink the Wine at Center Playhouse!

"Arsenic and Old Lace" opens tonight at Center Playhouse in Freehold!

The paint is dry.  The furniture and the silver are polished.  The costumes are pressed and the last props are hung.  It’s the countdown… the last few days until opening night of Arsenic and Old Lace at Center Playhouse.  The stage is small and so was the budget for the set design. But with her artistic eye for detail, Bernice Garfield Szita and her dedicated crew created her vision of the Brewster’s Victorian parlor in 1941 Brooklyn.

This dark comedy will open Friday night October 18th at Center Playhouse Freehold.  The audience will be impressed not only with the suburb acting but with the ambiance of the set and the costumes of that period.  Both the furniture and the clothing came from many places including antique stores, attics, garage sales and other unique places.  I’m sure when you see the stage something there will remind you of your own family’s history!
