Out With The Old, In With The New at Center Playhouse!
Arsenic and Old Lace closed last weekend but audience members are still sending reviews! A Christmas Carol, opens Dec 6th!
Move over Cary Grant, Peter Laurie and the rest of the cast from the 1944 Hollywood production of Arsenic and Old Lace! Freehold's multiple Perry Award-winning Center Players has done it again. Center Players wrapped up their sold-out production of Arsenic and Old Lace this past weekend. It was great fun. The comfortable intimate setting drew the audience in and had them laughing from beginning to end. This set was fantastic! The combination of wallpaper and borrowed antiques created an authentic look that brought me right back to my grandmother's living room. Several people commented that they wanted the decorator to do some work on their homes. The Brewster family, who the play centers around, was thoroughly nutty and hysterical at the same time. Both Jonathan Brewster and Dr. Einstein were simultaneously scary and hilarious. I had a blast! And the cast was fantastic!
