CentraState Offers Free Wellness & Family Fun Day in Monroe May 10;

CentraState Healthcare System is offering a free Monroe Wellness & Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CentraState Medical Office at Monroe, 312 Applegarth Road, Monroe.

            Participants can meet and talk with family practice, internal medicine and other specialty physicians; and take advantage of free health screenings, including blood pressure, blood sugar and memory testing.

            There also will be lectures, including Living Well with Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis at Any Age, Myths vs. Facts about Seizures, Loss of Consciousness & Epilepsy and Skincare Tips to Stay Younger Looking. Participants can also watch a live choking & CPR demonstration.   Plus, a fire truck demo and a fun Mother’s Day craft for kids!

            The event will also include free chair massages on a first-come, first-served basis; Zumba dance and movement & balance classes; face painting, a teddy bear clinic for kids; healthy refreshments; raffles and more.
