Freehold Borough Democratic Primary Election: The Final Chapter

Observations from Freehold

Over the past 7 weeks you've all witnessed what has alternatively been described as either a long overdue or extremely foolhardy Democratic Primary Election challenge bid. During this span I've presented my ideas how to address some of our town's most pressing issues, I've hand-delivered literature to every house in Freehold Borough 3 times, I've publicly responded to any resident question received, and I was the catalyst behind our town's first candidates debate in recent memory. Come the night of June 5th, win or lose I will rest easy knowing that I will have done everything in my power to make my case with you, the residents of Freehold Borough.

Despite the negative personal attacks against me or the toll they've taken on my family, I still believe what we've accomplished together – namely providing everyone with a choice in the town's first contested Democratic Primary Election in over 37 years – was well worth it.

Together we've already proved that a small group of concerned citizens can really make a change. Together we've already proved that seniority should be valued, but new ideas and fresh perspectives should be valued just as much. Together we've already proved that there's a wave of "new Freehold" residents who care just as deeply about our community as "old Freehold" residents do. And most importantly, together we've already proved that just the act of forcing every elected official to adhere to an open and fair Primary Election process - as our country's forefathers originally intended - matters more than the election's ultimate outcome.

The truth is that there are two kinds of politicians in this world – those that say "we can" and those that say "we can't". And in the end it's ultimately up to you as to which kind you want representing you and Freehold. I have a fierce belief in what we can achieve together and your voice is important. Please let it be heard this Tuesday and consider supporting me in Freehold Borough's upcoming Democratic Primary Election.

Thank you and God bless,
