Freehold Freemasons Hosting Murder Mystery Theatre Group

Freehold Freemasons Hosting Murder Mystery Theatre Group

FREEHOLD BOROUGH – The Freehold Borough Freemasons have announced that on Nov. 10 they’ll be hosting a “Houdini, Who Done It?” murder mystery performance by the New Jersey-based Riddlesbrood Theatre Company at their Olive Branch Lodge on 2 Dutch Lane in Freehold. Interactive-audience festivities will include the theatrical performance itself, a meal, and open mic DJ karaoke.

“My family and I have seen many performances by the Riddlesbrood Theatre Company and we’re really big fans,” explained Freehold Freemason Al Barbato, “and I could think of nothing more exciting than to bring this group to Freehold Borough so close to Halloween. The fact that Harry Houdini himself was a brother Freemason will make the show that much more fun.”

The Riddlesbrood Theatre Company was founded over 10 years ago and has made quite a name for itself as one of the premier touring groups in New Jersey/Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area. They typically perform 3-4 shows a year (starting with a spring show and culminating with a holiday performance), but they’ve agreed to add a show for Freehold’s 163-year-old local Freemason chapter.

“Hosting Riddlesbrood is just one of the ways Olive Branch Lodge is again opening our doors to the community,” continued Mr. Barbato. “Many residents are familiar with our charitable work, but few remember the social role our lodge played in the fabric of Freehold society. From our monthly “bottomless spaghetti” dinners to our sizable presence in Freehold’s Memorial Day Parade, the Freemasons have always been a cornerstone of the community. Now with our recent surge in membership, we again find ourselves in the position to revive many of our social connections to Freehold.”

Ticket prices for the night’s festivities are $50 per person and include the theatrical performance, full meal, and DJ karaoke. To obtain tickets or for more show information, please contact Al Barbato at (917) 578-5418 or visit www.olivebranchlodge.org.
