Thank you all for your support leading up to yesterday's first contested Freehold Borough Democratic Primary Election in over 37 years. From the beginning I knew this was going to be a near-impossible task and despite the final tally, I really believe we've accomplished something. We've forced a conversation - and THAT'S the first step. (And apparently nearly 1 in 3 Borough Democrats agree.) I congratulate Ron Griffiths and Sharon Shutzer on their victories and look forward to continuing help push Freehold towards a brighter future.
As for me, I'm only 36. My wife and I fell head over heels for this town a long time ago and there's no place we would rather raise our young family. Don't be surprised if next week you still see me helping the Y with another fundraiser, helping the Masons with a toy drive, pushing new ideas with various community groups, or simply strolling down the sidewalk to Sweet Lew's on a Saturday morning with my kids. Heather and I have no plans to go anywhere for the next 60 years...
