Allaire, State Parks Charging Now Through Labor Day

Entrance fees begin for state parks

New Jersey state parks have begun to charge entrance fees for the season, Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Gates will be staffed and an entrance fee charged at state parks such as Allaire, Cheesequake and Island Beach State Park. Additional fees for other services such as camping or fishing are also in place, often year-round, but the entrance fee began with Memorial Day.

A $50 state park pass is available, permitting entry into the state parks. Those with a pass do not have to pay the entry fee. You could also buy a daily pass.
