Boro Field Hockey Star on Magazine Cover

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of rain on Thursday. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with a high near 71 degrees and an overnight low of 61.

Colonials field hockey standout Emily Wold is featured on the cover of MSG Varsity Magazine in their tri-state fall sports issue. The magazine ranked Freehold Boro field hockey second in the state.

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a workshop meeting Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hall of Records building. A regular meeting will be held at 7 p.m., also in the Hall of Records.

The Freehold Township Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet at Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

The Freehold Borough Board of Health meets at Borough Hall at 8 p.m.

Colonials girls soccer will play Long Branch away at 3:45 p.m., while girls tennis hosts Colts Neck and girls volleyball faces Howell at home at that time. Boys soccer takes on Long Branch at home at 4 p.m.

Patriots tennis will take on Manalapan away Thursday at 3:45 p.m.

The Freehold Branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its October meeting at on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting will feature Kati Beddow Brower, an actress and storyteller with the Local Commotion Walking History musical program.
