Snow and Rain the Forecast as Spring Gets Underway

National Weather Service says snow a definite possibility through Wednesday night.

While the Colonials and Patriots spring sports teams get ready for their regular season, the next 36 hours or so could present a small stumbling block as a winter weather front makes its way through the area.

According to the National Weather Service, the weather today should be nice with highs in the mid 50's, but after midnight that could all change. With rain starting Wednesday morning between 2 and 5 a.m., that could change to snow after that. With temperatures just above freezing, there should not be a whole lot of precipitation as less than half an inch is called for in the early morning hours.

The bulk of Wednesday looks to be a mix of rain, sleet and snow, but still with less than half an inch of accumulation on the ground. Another half inch of the mix could come through Wednesday night, but by Thursday the weather should clear up until at least Sunday.
