Columbus Day in Freehold: What's Open, What's Closed

Monday will be sunny with a high near 84 degrees and an overnight low of 57, according to the National Weather Service.

Freehold Borough Offices will be closed for Columbus Day. Freehold Township schools and the Freehold Regional High School District will be closed, as well. Freehold Borough schools will be open but will have an early dismissal.

Post offices, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Freehold Public Library and banks are also closed.

Columbus Day sales at Freehold Raceway Mall include $50 off a $150 purchase at ; 30 percent off at Aerie by American Eagle Outfitters; 30 percent off sale items and 20 percent off full-price items at J. Jill; and buy three clearance items and save 30 percent at , or buy four or more clearance items and save 40 percent.

Freehold resident Asha Thomas was selected Toastmaster of the Year for the organization’s District 83.

The Freehold Borough Board of Education will meet at the Freehold Learning Center on Monday at 7 p.m.

The will meet Monday at 3 p.m. at CentraState Medical Center. The monthly support group is for cancer patients and their families.
