County Makes Audio From Freeholder Meetings Available Online

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will now be able to listen audio from meetings online. The recordings will not replace the written minutes, which contain copies of resolutions and other documents the board takes action on. You can access the meeting recordings on the Monmouth County Web site in the upper right-hand side, or you can access them directly here.

Colonials baseball, softball and boys golf will host Ocean Township at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Boys tennis will compete against Manalapan at home and boys volleyball will host Manchester Township, also at 3:45 p.m.

Freehold Township boys golf will compete against Middletown North at Charleston Springs on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. At 4 p.m., girls lacrosse will play Marlboro at home.

The Freehold Township Planning Board will hold a meeting on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

The Freehold Borough Little League is celebrating its 60th anniversary this weekend. On Friday, a reunion is being held at the American Legion from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday at 9 a.m., the league will hold its opening day parade from Main St. to Center St.

Wemrock Orchards is holding a Green Thumb Family Event on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Music will be provided by Thunder 106.3FM, and there will be special appearance by Truman the dragon from Kidsville News. Master gardeners will be in site to help kids with a complimentary gardening craft. Attendees will have a chance to win family four packs to see Sesame Street’s live Elmo’s Green Thumb show. Samples will provide by Wemrock Orchards’ vendors as well as the store’s pies, donuts and apple cider.

CentraState will host the 2011 Walk MS event on Sunday. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk will begin at 10 a.m., rain or shine.
