Deadline for FBAC Mural Park Project Essay Contest Approaching

Deadline Approaching

The deadline for the is Wednesday, June 15. Essays should be about 450 words in length and describe an artistic concept for a mural that incorporates Freehold Borough’s history and its support of the arts.

The mural will be displayed at the vacant gas station site at the intersection of Main Street and Spring Street.

National School of Character

Joseph J. Catena School has been selected as one of 32 National School of Character in the country, according to Principal Cathleen Areman. The designation is made by the Character Education Partnership, a nonprofit based in Washington, D.C. Schools recognized by CEP must demonstrate a high-quality character education, according to the organization’s Web site.

Joseph J. Catena School was named a New Jersey School of Character in March.

Cancer Support Group

The Cancer Support Group will meet Monday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at CentraState Medical Center’s Oncology Family Room. The group is for patients and families learning how to cope with cancer. Call 732-303-5098 for more information.

The Freehold Township Youth Guidance Council meets at Town Hall on Monday at 6:45 p.m.

The Freehold Regional High School District will meet at Freehold Township High School at 8 p.m.
