Fall Baby Fair at CentraState

Weather

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service. The high for the day will be 64 degrees and the overnight low will be around 49.

The Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus at will host its Fall Baby Fair on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event will feature seminars on pregnancy, service and product vendors, a fashion show, and tours of the maternity center. Participants can also meet with CentraState’s doctors and nurses. Door prizes and raffles will be offered.

Flu Shots

The Freehold Township Senior Center will provide to Freehold Township residents age 18 and over on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon. Shots for seniors are free, while the cost to others is $20.

High School Sports

Colonials girls tennis hosts Brick Memorial on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Boys soccer takes on Monmouth Regional away at 3:45 p.m., while girls soccer plays them at home at 4 p.m. Girls volleyball heads to Wall at 3:45 p.m. Boys cross country competes against Long Branch away at 4 p.m.

Patriots girls tennis takes on Marlboro away at 3:45 p.m. The gymnastics team hosts Marlboro at 4:30 p.m.

Learning Center Open Houses

The Freehold Regional High School District is holding a series of open houses for its learning centers and academies. Students accepted into one of the district’s programs become full-time students at that program’s home school.

This week, the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Academy open house will be held at Freehold High School on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. The Business Administration Learning Center open house will take place Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. at Marlboro High School. The Animal and Botanical Sciences Academy and the Contemporary Global Issues Learning Center open houses will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at Freehold Township High School.

Online applications for the 2012-2013 school year will open Friday, Oct. 7.
