Freehold First Aid Accepting Donations, Applications on New Site

Weather

No, the rain isn’t going away—not for the next few days, at least. The National Weather Forecast calls for showers Wednesday and possibly a thunderstorm. Winds will be about 15 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. The day’s high will be 67 degrees and the overnight low will be 59.

New Freehold First Aid Web Site

The Freehold First Aid & Emergency Squad has unveiled a new Web site in time for the organization’s June fund drive. The site allows visitors to donate using PayPal or a credit card. The squad can also accept membership applications through the new site. Freehold First Aid & Emergency Squad Trustee Bill Madden said the group has already received 10 applications through the online form.

If you would like to donate to the squad through the mail, you can send your check to 18 Spring St.

Meetings

The Lake Topanemus Commission will meet at Borough Hall Wednesday at 7 p.m.

High School Sports

Colonials and Patriots boys track will compete in the Monmouth County Freshman/Sophomore Championships at Matawan High School Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Colonials Boys golf will take on Long Branch away at 4 p.m.

Patriots boys tennis will host Colts Neck at 3:45 p.m. Girls lacrosse will play Jackson at home in the first round of the state tournament.

CentraState’s will meet from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

At 6:30 p.m., Dr. Steven Goldstein will host a free lecture title “: Robotic Surgery for Women.”

Parents can learn how to talk to their children about sex at “: Taking the ‘Sting’ Out of Talking about Sex!” from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
