Freehold Township OEM: Avoid Travel, Evening Curfew

The Freehold Township Office of Emergency Management (OEM) wants residents off the roads and will institute a strict curfew at sundown.

Power is out at major intersections across the township, leading to dangerous driving conditions, according to an alert sent by the Freehold Township OEM.

Power is out at all major intersections and roads are very dangerous. We urge all residents to stay home and give emergency responders a chance to make repairs and respond to emergencies.

JCP&L is performing damage assessments and will begin repair transmission facilities today. There is no time line for restoration.

Businesses are closed. Freehold Township Police will be STRICTLY enforcing a nighttime curfew already in place by municipal ordinance. No one should be out after sundown.
