Freshman Orientation at Freehold Regional High Schools

Weather

Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 81 degrees and a low of 62, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday will be partly sunny during the day with rain and thunderstorms possible in the evening. The National Weather Service forecast calls for a high near 83 and a low of 68.

Thunderstorms are also possible Sunday. The high for the day will be near 85 degrees and the overnight low will be 69.

Freshman Orientation

The Freehold Regional High School District will hold orientation Friday for incoming ninth graders. Buses will pick up the freshmen two hours later than on a regular school day. The Freehold High School program will run from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Freehold Township High School’s will be from 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The will hold open yoga practice on Friday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is a food or $5 donation to Freehold Area Open Door.

The Freehold Farmers Market will take place Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the Hall of Records. Vendors at the event sell fresh, locally grown produce. The participants in this year’s Freehold Farmer's Market include Kauffman Farms, Farmingdale; The Farm, Freehold; Hauser Hill Farms, Old Bridge; Trapper's Honey, Clarksburg; Pickle Licious, Teaneck; Schilke Organic Farms, Eatontown; and Rocky Brook Farm, Millstone.

Congregation Kol Am, a reform congregation serving the greater Freehold area, is celebrating its 10th anniversary by launching summer Shabbat services on Fridays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Rabbi Brooks Susman leads the services, which are held at in Howell near the Freehold Township border.
