FTPD Arrest Resident On Multiple Drug Charges

A Freehold man is accused of possessing multiple different drugs in addition to hindering apprehension and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Freehold Township Police arrested and charged a Freehold resident after he was allegedly found in possession of multiple drugs.

Robert A. Archer, 27, of Tuscan Drive, was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 21. According to the complaint warrant, Archer was found to be in possession of 19 pills of cyclobenzaprine, 26 decks of heroin, one suboxone pill, and one pill of provigil. Archer is also accused of possessing a hallowed out pen which police consider a device used to ingest controlled dangerous substances.

In addition to the four drug charges and drug paraphernalia charge, Archer faces a hindering apprehension charge. The complaint warrant explains that Archer allegedly switched seats with the driver of a car when approached by police so that the driver could avoid prosecution for driving while suspended.

Archer has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $7,000 bail for all six charges.
